Laura Leprino Joins the CSI Board of Directors

Denver, CO – “We are pleased to announce Laura Leprino as the newest member of the CSI Board,” said Common Sense Institute (CSI) President & CEO Kristin Strohm. “Her business experience, deep Colorado roots and commitment to preserving the entrepreneurial spirit is a great addition to CSI.”

Leprino has a diverse background spanning banking, general contracting, real estate, and political consulting. Leprino worked in banking and business development for over 30 years in Colorado. She served as vice president of marketing at First National Bank, where she led efforts to improve its reputation and brand awareness. Laura was also a principal with a leading Colorado-based general contracting firm. She most recently was with the Starboard Group heading up the Client Services Division.

“I am passionate about the CSI mission – to examine the fiscal impacts of policies, initiatives, and proposed laws so that Coloradans are educated and informed on the most important issues facing our state.” said Leprino. “I look forward to supporting their work and helping to bring the facts to Coloradans.”

Most recent, Leprino and her son Matthew established the Mike A. Leprino Free Enterprise Fellowship. The Fellowship will select an individual to examine free enterprise issues in Colorado and create an annual Free Enterprise Report, a transparency and accountability report on the fiscal health of Colorado.

Leprino is a leader in her community and throughout her career worked for several Colorado charitable organizations including serving as a board member for the Red Rocks Community College Foundation Board and the University of Colorado Foundation Board. When not working hard to make her Colorado a better place, through community and political activism, she enjoys spending time with her family.
