Denver -Earl Wright, Chairman of the Board of Common Sense Policy Roundtable (CSPR), announced today that long-time Colorado philanthropist Charlie McNeil joined the Board of Directors. “Charlie has a wealth of experience in the energy, mining, and power industries,” said Wright. “That experience will be invaluable to CSPR as we continue our work to protect and promote Colorado’s economy.”

Mr. McNeil, a fourth generation Coloradan, founded NexGen Resources Corporation (NexGen) in 1993 and is the owner and CEO. NexGen, headquartered in Denver, CO, manages a diverse portfolio of direct investments in companies at multiple stages of growth and across multiple industries, with an emphasis on the energy and mining industries.

He is also active in serving the Denver community as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Denver Area Boy Scouts, Cherry Hills Farm Board of Directors, Arapahoe House for Substance Abuse (honored as 2007 Pillars of the Community), Sewall Childhood Development Center, Kempe Foundation for Abused Children, Children’s Diabetes Foundation, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Colorado School of Mines Foundation and the Mountain States Employers Council Board of Directors.

“CSPR is doing important work and isn’t afraid to tackle the big issues our state needs to solve. I’m excited to join that effort,” said McNeil.
