Keian Freshwater is a Water & Growth Intern at Common Sense Institute. He is currently pursing a Professional Masters’ Degree in Ecosystem Science & Sustainability at Colorado State University, specifically focusing on water management and policy here in Colorado.
Previously, Keian graduated with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. During that time, he served as team lead on a project with the Larimer County Engineering Department to update regional floodplain boundaries. Separately, he also worked in the Biogeochemistry Laboratory at the U.S. Forest Service’s Rocky Mountain Research Station in Fort Collins.
Keian originally grew up in the Seattle area before moving to Colorado. Keian is passionate about the sustainable management of water quantity and quality using data-driven approaches.
