This week Denver voters soundly defeated Initiative 300 by a margin of 81% to 19%. The measure would have opened public spaces including parks to camping. The REMI Partnership Study, “Denver Initiative 300: Impacts on the Homeless and Society by Granting Unimpeded Access to Public Space,” informed the debate and was referenced by policymakers, elected officials and news stories throughout the campaign.
